Lambert & Thurnherr is an international Interior Design practice based in London. Charles Lambert and Michele Thurnherr founded the practice in 2011 following many successful years together at Mlinaric, Henry and Zervudachi.

Past work has included both residential and commercial projects from single rooms to a Royal Institute. Their focus is on creating interiors specially tailored to their clients' needs. Their style is distinct in the quality of both design and craftsmanship, taking the aesthetic of the client as the starting point and building upon it.

Based in London, they carry out work across the world with a multi-lingual practice that enables them to seamlessly facilitate work across Europe and internationally.


Michele trained as in interior decorator in Switzerland and then graduated from the Inchbald School of Design in London.

Michele’s past projects include: residential projects in London, English country houses and stately homes, an hôtel particulier in Paris, a yacht, The National Gallery in London, the headquarters of a financial institution in London and several chalets and houses in Switzerland working in close relationship with local architects, builders and tradesmen.

She speaks German, English, French and Italian.


Charles studied management and history of art at the Ecole du Louvre in Paris before training as an interior decorator in London.

Charles’s past projects include: many residences in London as well as houses in the English countryside, several projects at Waddesdon Manor, apartments in Paris and houses across Europe from the south of France to Bordeaux and Italy. He has worked on chalets in Switzerland and lofts and apartments in New York, an Irish manor house, an estate in Dallas and the reception rooms of a well known auction house in London. 

He speaks French, English and Spanish.
